Welcome to Kitacon!
Kitacon is a not-for-profit UK anime convention, promoting Japanese Culture and the UK anime and manga industries. After running sell-out events, Kitacon returns for another year at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole from the 13th-15th April 2012!
A full range of activities will be on offer including parties, live acts straight from Japan, Cosplay, Voice Actors including the already announced Chris Patton, Panels, Gaming, Merchandise and of course 24hr anime and live-action screenings throughout the event.

Kitacon is pleased to announced that The Geek Show, the UK’s Only Live FM Geek radio show, is coming to Birmingham! The popular show is broadcast live every Monday 6-8pm on 104. 5 FM in the Teesside area, or streamed live via their website.
The team usually cover everything from videogames and music, to Anime, to comic books and everything in between as well. They also bring you some choice bits of news from the worlds of science and technology too. If it’s to do with geek, otaku, or nerd culture then rest assured; they’ve got you covered.
We’re pleased to inform all you lovely people out there that The Geek Show will be recording a LIVE show on stage and in front of Kitacon attendees during the Kitacon weekend.
They’ll be grilling the guests with your questions, giving away prizes, playing some tunes, getting you guys up, playing games, shouting at each other lots... come down and see them flailing at each other!
