Volunteer to Gopher

What’s that I hear? You want to earn exclusive rewards and be a valued part of the well oiled machine (steam driven, of course) that is Kitacon? You’re in luck because we need plenty of willing Kita-attendees to act as Gophers this year.

“Gophers… what’s that then?”

Gophers are volunteers who help the Kitacon committee and staff during the event itself. Gophers can assist in a wide variety of areas; equipment set up, security, supervision, fetching and carrying… the list is endless and the rewards are highly prized!

“Tell me more about these rewards you speak of”?

If you decide to gopher for us, you will be rewarded for your help and time as follows:

4 Hours = Gopher Goody Bag
8 Hours = Exclusive Gopher Party (yes that's right, another party!) Gopher Goody Bag + Extras
12 Hours = Half Price ticket for Kitacon V! Exclusive Gopher Party, Gopher Goody Bag + Extras
18 Hours = FREE ENTRY to Kitacon V!!!! Exclusive Gopher Party, Gopher Goody Bag + Extras

“That sounds awesome, how can I get involved?”

All you need to do is sign up and pay for your entry to Kitacon IV then complete the form below, it really is that easy! It would be very helpful if you could specify whether you have any relevant experience (e.g. technical) and/or give details of the types of areas you would like to get involved with (workshops, panels, video rooms, etc).

If you're an experienced gopher veteran, your expertise will be a great help. If you have never gophered before, don't worry! The committee and other gophers will be on hand to help you and you will receive a full briefing before the convention starts.
